07 gt 12.22 @ 111.94 (updated)

Little late getting this posted but here it is. 2007 Mustang GT 5 speed additions are 4.10 gears, ET Street 26x11.5x17, JLT cai with 91 octane tune and an aluminum driveshaft from Dynotech. Oh yeah and drove it like I hated it! Best 60' was 1.68.

Switched from 17" ET Streets to 26x10x15 ET Drags and ran 12.220 and 60 ft went to 1.602. Stayed a lot more consistent too.

112MPH? Not with just those mods. How about your exhaust and weight reduction?

It still has stock exhaust except for the Borla mufflers. As for weight reduction, I take out the passenger seat to make room for a generator, cooling fan, and the "just in case" tools.

Haha, I knew people would have a hard time believing you JP. Trust me guys I have seen his car run many times. It is damn fast. The car is set up for drag racing. But it's far from a purpose built drag car. I can confirm that all he takes out is his passenger seat. Unlike most people JP didn't go out and s/c or turbo his car to go fast. He bought the right tires, gears, and suspension to do the job with not much more hp than what came stock.

Great job dude. How do you plan to get it into the 11's?

Incase you don't recognize the screen name it's Mike, the beer bottle smasher.

Thanks Mike. Hope the hand is better lol.
I'm thinking I might try a little weight reduction over the winter. I want to make a bracket to use one of my Corbeau seats from the fox. Rear seat delete too if I get real motivated. I'm guessing they would be good for 75lbs or so. As for getting into the 11's I still have to get the suspension dialed in. I should be able to get it real close this up coming year.

That is impressive.. All your time was made up with good driving and tires! I know 05-07 Gt's will go high 12's with CAI, Tune and UDP's. Throw in 4.10's and definately can hit 12.8.

How are your axles going to hold up with those tires? Also interested in stock tire times. I would guess 12.9-13.1?

Axles are fine, S197's come with 31 spline from the factory. As for stock tire times, I've only tried a few passes with my heavy 20's and 13.2 @ 111mph is my best.

Impressive man. You've pretty much sold me on needing some slicks now.
