Just added some headers to the snakebite mix

i've got the snakebite w 3.25 upper, aux idler, his ported dragon setup, his ported lower, catless exhaust with dumps that made 507rwhp 515rwtq at 18.3#s and 19* of timing. i Just got it retuned today with a set of KOOKs 1 5/8 LTs and was pleased with the gain. Under the curve it was 25+ rwhp 25+rwtq with a peak gain in torque of 32rwtq giving it 512rwhp 547rwtq and the LTs drop the boost to 16.3 and the car still only has 19* of timing. thats only 24 less torque than my old kb2.6 made on my last cobra at 21# of boost

add a 2lb lower or 4lb lower. you will pick up another 25 to 35rwtq and 20 rwhp. nice to see the snake bite putting down some decent numbers. who tuned it? what kind of dyno?

yeah i was thinking over the winter i might play with lower pulley combos. i though about doing a stock upper with a 6lb lower 18#ish i'd figure with that setup.Chris @ Excessive Motorsport. Dynojet. Numbers wise i'm more off a track guy myself and it has proven itself there

When my Cobra ran a 2.76 upper pulley, unported Eaton and a stock
lower, I was pushing 458 rwhp and 470 rwtq. What exactly do you
have for mods?

That is an impressive increase from headers. Why are you only running 19* of timing? Given you have spent $3,234 on this set up (Snakebite $1,495, Dragon, $495, Lower port $175, Kooks $1,069 - new from Lethal) you are leaving a lot on the table.

Also, I'm curious why you would spend that much $ and not stick with a TS. You could have bought a nice used TS, made more power, and probably still had $700 in your pocket.

Well i accually didnt spend that much but heres how i looked at it. i wanted a stock bower car so i didnt go twin screw. i was gonna do a stage 5 setup which would run like this 599 port 195 rebuild snout and 499 metco lower pulley setup and what ever the tb port costs.....so i spent a lil more to try out the new stuff. I didnt pay for the lower port and the kooks would have gone on kb or eaton. The reason for the timing is that it was on 18# and with the timing a little lower timing keeps it cool and gets the mph up on the big end.

before the headers when it was making 18# the iat2s were in the 120s with a peak at 131. when i saw that the headers dropped the boost down to 16# i was going to get him to add a degree or two but my dyno time was limited because they were having a dyno day

Congrats on the new numbers man, should show up well at the track. As Chris pointed out your leaving a lot on the table with such low timing. You could easily go 21* without a hitch.

Hate to break it to you man, but with your mods you won't make that kind of power. You were on a generous dyno or those numbers weren't corrected.

Just remember you are seeing less boost but you are still spinning the blower just as fast. The longtubes just cut back pressure so there isn't as must boost built up
