Thumbs Up 2nd Time Cobra VS 2010 Camaro Inside

Alright guys I got back from the track today. I did alot better then last time when I went 15's!

1st pass I ran a Duramax on a daily tune?

60FT 2.32
1/8 9.96
1/8MPH 76.51
1/4 14.91
1/4MPH 100.93

(win)

2nd pass another Duramax. Third quickest pass of the night!

60FT 2.30
1/8 9.12
1/8MPH 81.67
1/4 13.84
1/4MPH 104.38

(win)

3rd pass I ran a baby cam LS1 Z28 with nitto D/R.

60FT 2.22
1/8 9.21
1/8MPH 69.02
1/4 14.40
1/4MPH 98.21

Missed third and went down hard. He had a 1.82 60 and a 12.75 1/4. Would have gotten killed anyway but was a fun race until the 330.

4thpass I can't remeber what was in the other lane.

60FT 2.33
1/8 10.15
1/8MPH 73.50
1/4 15.42
1/4MPH 94.36

2010 Camaro ss M6 showroom stock.

60FT 2.49
1/8 8.74
1/8MPH 82.74
1/4 14.19
1/4MPH 90.54

Sorry guys I left TC on. he had a 2.13 60 but only went a 13.90 @ 102.48? ( can provide timeslip.

6th pass Old f-150 with a cam.

60FT 2.31
1/8 9.38
1/8MPH 77.04
1/4 14.26
1/4MPH 102.03

Best pass of the night!

60FT 2.23
1/8 9.09
1/8MPH 82.40
1/4 13.76
1/4MPH 105.86

Still nowhere near what it should run but I'm pretty happy with the results. Only 200 miles of manual experience and 2 track visits.

Uhm, don't take this wrong but something seems wrong to me I know your new to a manual which that leaves room for improvement, but shouldant the mph be atleast 108-110 I mean I could be totaly wrong also has to do with the DA of the track and the weather conditions, sounds like you had a big improvement in time and the time will get faster as u learn the car maybe some others will chime in on the mph

Yeah I was shifting at 5,000 because I was having trouble getting 2nd to 3rd and did not want it on the limiter on a 20 degree day. That's why I have suddenly lose 5mph at the 1/8th on some runs. I'm going to get mickey thompsons and a IRS brace for next season. Shooting for low 13's next.

That camaro did not get a good launch all night. He must have ran it atleast 20 times. Looks really fat up close.I'd take a 4th gen or a GTO before the new camaro.

Here was the camaro's full time

60ft 2.1329
330ft 5.9897
1/8et 9.0797
1/8mph 79.92
1/4et 13.9059
1/4mph 102.48

okay well that makes more sense to me, since you were short shifting it at 5000 grand you are leaving power on the table

I won't until next year. Looking back I would have liked to lower the air pressure on the yokohama's and tried to get a 2.0ish 60ft. If it was warmer I would have tried to powershift it.

I have been racing since 2003 and I got an 11.85 run so far
and I know it can run much quicker, but it's a hard car to
learn how to drive well, especially with the wheel hop problem.
Shifting around 6,200-6,400 rpm you will see vast improvement
in your ET and speed.
