Steve has got to be the best bloke around - who else would go out of their way to ship parts to a guy on the far side of the planet
So far he's contributed some very regular parts for the Cobra and Explorer as well as some extremely unusual ones (like a complete wiring harness for an electric seat for a 2007 F150). All I can say is don't be afraid to ask him for help because he'll do what it takes!
Tousley Ford - the best in the land with the glad hand of help
My contribution - world's only RHD Mystichrome Cobra
Thanks Steve

Looks like a set of Minilite wheels? Triple SUs kind of a pain to sync no? Very clean, lots of good detail, very nice.
Greg
You mean on my dads Healey? They are actually Panasports, almost identical to Minilites but a bit easier to get and easier on the wallet.
Yes, SU's are a bit odd but not really difficult to deal with. We had an issue last weekend at Road America in that the car would barely run under 3000 rpm.
When I was putting the hood away so we could change out the fuel pressure regulator I noticed oil on the underside of the hood.
SU's use oil as a damper for the slide valve, the ones on our car had gotten low on oil and were allowing the slides to go up too fast and flood the engine.
Only on an English car could your carbs run out of oil
I used auto trans fluid in my "A" and "B"---MG that is, seemed to be less temperature sensitive and a little smoother, still was somewhat of a pain to keep in tune. Lucas electrical systems were also a pita, two six volt batteries under the floor behind the rear seat. High maint autos but tons of fun to drive on the track and autoX. Guess I sort of dated myself on this one huh?

LOL, the only thing "Lucas" in my dads car now is a memory.
The entire electrical system was built specifically for the car, it now runs an alternator in place of the nasty old generator.
It's a bit odd having a Healey with no electrical issues, his old car used to die EVERY time I drove it. I don't know why but it did.
They are great fun, the sound of that built six through the straight pipes is phenomenal!!
