I would verify timing before I pulled the heads but with low compression on a couple of cylinders it might make sense to just get the heads done and be done with it. Just the ramblings of an old man….

Ultimately, when I pull the heads, I planned to make my decisions there. If there is any sign of scoring or anything to the cylinder walls to make me suspect the bottom end needs attention, then it will be a part the car or go forged internals with boost decision...

If the bottom end looks good, I will be content to do the heads and bolt back together to make a nice cruiser.
