The bright side to the Stingers is if the cats do come apart, they'll blow right throw the mufflers. Learned that one the hard way.

The only suggestion I have is if you add cats to your X pipe move them as far back as you can.

This will help them live longer. If you look at the BBK X pipe you'll see how far back they sit. It keeps the heat down.

I’d never add cats back on just to reduce volume.
Swap out those mufflers for a decent set. I also hated my catless stingers and swapped the mufflers to Borla Pro XS.
You could also add resonators into current system but cats would be an absolute last resort to me.

Before I swapped mufflers I was thinking about getting some small glass packs to replace the cats with. Like the small Vibrant mufflers.

It works but for the same money I’d swap mufflers and sell the stingers.

That's what I ended up doing since the cat back I had been wanting popped up for sale. But I'm keeping my Stingers for when I want to be loud and obnoxious again.

I found a guy that wants to trader my stingers for his bassani cat back. I spoke with my tuner and he said he wouldn't run cats if I didn't absolutely have too and if I did he could just email me an updated tune.

These cars sound so good with Borla Stingers, I’d never trade them up. I’ve got Magnaflow on my white coupe. I’d trade Magnaflow for stingers all day long.
are those magnaflows in perfect shape and no concrete rash? If so id be interested in a trade.

I have 4 different muffler setups. Stingers, LM1, LM2, and then magnaflows. I had the stingers for almost 2 years. I’ve had the LM1s on for 4 months. I want to hear the other two as I have yet to run them. As long as my car is loud and obnoxious I’m happy.

I've only had an all bassani setup on my car since I've owned it. I love it but would also love to hear other setups in person.

The trade for bassani cat back fell through so I ordered some Flowmaster 200 high flow cats to put on the bassani x and keep the Stingers.
Catted Bassani sounds so great with stingers. I would put a catted x pipe on my car if I wasn't afraid it would mess the cats up. 800 rwhp might not be to kind on them

I switched from lm1 to lm2. Lm2 is perfect for my taste.

Interesting as I went the opposite. I ran a catless mac H and stingers for all of two days before switching to magnaflows. Well broken in stingers are significantly louder than low mile ones.

Like most here I would agree stingers sound good still they break in and then are nothing more than a resonator. Broken in full case magnaflows are only marginally quieter.

Obviously if you run E you won’t have to worry about them plugging with carbon as quick.

Now I plan to run long tubes and try to find a prochamber to modify to work with whatever brand of long tube I go with.

Don’t get me wrong, I think these 4V cars sound good with just about any Exhaust on them. However from my personal experience I’ve had Stingers, ATAK, Flowmaster 40’s, Magnaflow, and stock. My favorite overall was always the Stingers.
