This is results from installing the new JLT carbon fiber CAI onto my car that already had a drop in K&N filter on it. Excellent gains!!

This is also posted in the 2011 Mustang section.

Just got back from the dyno.

Here are the results:

Baseline: 1,300 miles on the car, 6 speed manual, 5th gear pull, 3.73 gears, 3" Lethal O/R X-pipe, Flowmaster 'Hushpower' axleback, K&N filter, Lethal 93 octane tune by Jon Lund.

406.91 RWHP
391.89 RWTQ

After: Installed JLT carbon fiber CAI kit and downloaded revised Lethal 93 octane tune for JLT CAI by Jon Lund.

422.73 RWHP
400.70 RWTQ

Made an additional pull right after the first pull with the JLT

421.29 RWHP
400.93 RWTQ

So the end results are an improvement of:

15.82 RWHP
8.81 RWTQ

Over the stock air box with a K&N filter!!

Driving home the power and drivability of the car are awesome!!

Thanks to Lethal Performance, JLT and Jon Lund!!!

This is a comparison of my car to my friend's car that has ARH 1 7/8" long tubes with matching O/R x-pipe, stock axleback, K&N filter and about 3,000 miles on it:

Nice gains. Was the car tuned before the CAI as well? I'm curious if the majority of the gain was tuning or if it was truly the CAI.

+1 on the SAE numbers which is still bad ass for a Mustang GT with mods and dyno tune. When i got my 95 GT, long time ago, those are numbers us old 5.0 guys would have killed for. Congrats and your car looks sick.

The car already had a Lethal Performance 93 octane tune (by Jon Lund).

I downloaded a new revised Lethal Performance 93 octane tune (by Jon Lund) for the JLT after I installed the JLT CAI on the dyno and then made the new dyno pulls.

That's awesome! Very good gains; I'd say you got your money's worth.

Thanks  Very happy!!

Very nice numbers.

Kinda looks like the whale penis intake that Ricers use..

Thanks

LOL on the whale penis!! I think it looks nice under the hood!

I know, each year the new cars get more and more impressive!!

So your friends GT put down, what, near 450 rwhp? WOW, that's near C6Z territory for rwhp no? Nice numbers

No his car made 410 RWHP

Where do you see 450rw?

He must of mis-read the dyno graph LOL!!

Thanks  I didn't get any vids of the car on the dyno, sorry!! :bash:

I know the whole SAE/STD numbers thing! I was just looking to see how much I gained with the JLT over the K&N, more then what the final hp & tq numbers were going to be!

Great gains and the piece looks sweet.

Thanks

Wow, simple bolt ons and 420+. What's going to happen when somebody builds one of these things with high compression, ported heads, big cams, and a short runner intake. Things gonna be putting down like 550 n/a. Makes me happy to own a mustang but at the same time, sad that I own a 10 year old mustang.
