Neat to watch that video again.

I'd like a shootout between the following, all factory stock. It would be interesting to compare them in the 1/4 on the same day, same track.

2001 Cobra R
2003 Cobra
2003 Mach 1
2003 Mustang GT
2005-2010 Mustang GT
2011 Mustang GT
2007-2009 GT500
2010-2011 GT500
2012 Boss 302
2011 Mustang CobraJet

That narrator's voice is annoying as ****. I'd rather see a vid of him getting punched in the face.

Looks to me that it had a smaller pulley installed, and that means a retune as well. The GT500 was stock, so the drag race results would have been in favor of the Shelby had the 03 Cobra been 100% stock.

Odd that the Cobra would be declared the winner in that test because it was cheaper. So what if you can buy 2 used Terminators for the price of one new Shelby. Let's compare new versus new pricing, not new versus used.

IMO, the Shelby took the show, but not saying the Cobra isn't a nice car. They are beasts with big supercharger upgrades.

New vs. new the Cobra is still significantly cheaper.

Ford screwed up when they started making the gt500 so heavy. Think how fast that car would be 300lbs lighter!

Both are awesome cars but I'm not sure which one I'd rather have. I do know the first mods to the Gt if I got one would be massive weight reduction.

Both are cool cars, I just couldn't see spending $45K plus on a new GT500.

That's why I found a 2009 with only 740 miles for 38,900. It already had 2,500 in mods as well.

It's kinda odd that the Shelby handled the road course better with a live axle versus the Termi's IRS. The driver said it's fun to drive, but the Shelby was more predictable.

Shouldn't that have been the other way around. I always though the IRS was superior in the handling department.
