Car: 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra
Location: Cedar Falls, Iowa
Condition: Excellent
Color: Laser Red
Miles: 79,991
VIN: 1FALP47VXTF151937
Price: $7000

Exceptional condition. I am the third owner of this car and have had it since 2002 at 28k miles. Recent transmission service (clutch, pressure plate, flywheel resurface and Ford Racing bearings) as well as brakes all around. Battery, plugs, plug wires are all newer. AC blows cold. This is definitely a top shelf example of a Cobra and it includes all service documentation as well as the build certificate and original window sticker. This is car 4878 of 7496 built that year. Must see to appreciate how well this car has been taken care of. This car hasn't seen winters and has never even been rained on during my ownership. The original paint is in fantastic shape and gets all the good stuff. The car is mechanically sound with MANY more miles to enjoy. I will go over the car from bumper to bumper with you because I know the entire history and have it documented with receipts. All exterior pictures are from 6/24/2018. CarFax and AutoCheck are clean and this car is highly rated on both. No accidents or paint work ever.

The car did have the heads replaced in 2016 and you can read all about it here in my post history. It has run perfectly since that time and the place that did it is a top notch outfit around here. At that same time they replaced the oil pan gasket and anything needed for a clean re-install of the engine. I have had absolutely no problems or worries since this engine out service and I am as picky as they come with cars. I have performed most of the service on this car myself with the exception of the heads and clutch work. I have receipts for it all. The car doesn't leak anything and I'd park it on a brand new driveway today.

The only mods are '99 Cobra wheels, Steeda TriAx shifter, Steeda sway bar, COBRA insert in rear bumper, aluminum pedals, XM radio add-on attached to Mach460 and Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust which sounds amazing.

The only plans I had for the car were adding an aluminum radiator to improve cooling. There is also a slight steering wheel shake that I think is a missing wheel weight but I am not sure. The driver's side bolster is a bit worn but is the usual wear for cars at this mileage. All this car needs is a new owner who will appreciate it as much as I have. Well, the tires have about 30% left. :)

It isn't perfect but I truly feel it is one of the better examples around for the money. Non car people think it is a couple of years old and my neighbor thinks I am crazy with as much time as I spend detailing it weekly. I don't know where you'd find one that has such a well documented service history, has minimal modifications and hasn't changed hands much. Sorry, no trades and the price is firm. Contact me via PM and we can talk more.

Car has drawn zero interest so it is now off the market and worth more to me to keep. This thread can be closed.
