I have a question about the 2010-14 spoiler with the backup camera. Is this camera system easy to connect to an aftermarket nav system? If I can find one of these spoilers is it easy to run the wiring for it? I know aftermarket cameras are easy. But I'm looking for a factory style setup to run on my car so I would like to replace my base spoiler with a black premium spoiler with the camera. However if this is going to be a huge headache I'll figure something else out.
Thanks to anyone who has any info they're willing to share.

I'm using an aftermarket backup camera with the OEM camera spoiler. It's doable, just takes a little patience and modding of the camera opening. When I upgraded to a Maestro kit with Kenwood HU, I wanted to do the same thing by adding the camera to look OEM. Here's what it looks like...

Sorry, forgot to answer your question about using the OEM camera with aftermarket radio setup. Besides not finding any info on adding the OEM camera to an aftermarket radio, I didn't think it was easy or even possible after looking at the OEM camera wiring. I can write the steps I took to mod the opening if you're interested. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pics because it took quite a bit of trial and error.

hope that helps, i cant tell if the pics work or not because im at work.

I didnt have a doubledin headunit at the time so i wired it to a rear view mirror with lcd screen in it.

Either way, its the same process because the aftermarket radio will have the yellow video input connection and you'll have to create the male end from the oem camera spoiler to plug into the aftermarket radio.

those pictures probably arent very helpful, but the most important one would be the diagram pic. aside from that, the instructions or notes in the thread are probably all you would need.

Where did you get the spoiler with the backup camera in it? I have a base model as well and want to add a backup camera.
