Did not look like only 5-6mph the way the Vette got freight trained when the GT-500 caught him. As predicted you are here with inflated C7 numbers.

Considering the amount of ground it made up as quick as it made it up that was def more than 5mph...

I trap 118-120 with my 99% stock 2011 GT500. Best pass stock tires 11.91@120 that are completely shot. That was a horrible launch with the GT500. 2013/2014 I would hope could trap a lot higher than my car??

I guess if they can only get an 11.7 the race makes sense. Sounds like the the Shelby needs a driver mod. I would be PISSED if I bought a 2013/2014 and it only went a little faster than my 2011 LOL.

Id say its closer to 10mph on average.

Highest ive seen a C7 trap is 118. GT500 128.

Lowest around 112 for the C7 and 120 for GT500. Anything lower than that is mostly due to driver error.

Id still say thats damn good for the C7 considering its down 200hp and isnt that light by vette standards

Nor has he seen the 119-120 traps for other C7's or the videos of me racing NJTony's car same day/same track with a ~6 mph trap speed difference (all day) with Tony on DR's.
And let's forget the fact that I have the #2 stock car (behind NJTony) on the '13/'14 GT500 list. I'll just let all the experts do the talking.

Meh, hero traps at those "fast" tracks during this time of year is not what id base the cars performance on. But hey if it ran it ran it i guess. Still isnt the GT500's hero trap 129? If so thats still a bit more than the claimed 5-6mph.

nice run. gt500 was def pullin hard towards the top end, as it should.. but for a redlight to redlight run, the gt500 got smoked..

I think the tire condition may have something to do with it. I raced this same Gt500 a couple months ago and he did not spin anything like in this race, and we were on asphalt, this race was concrete. In fact he got me out of the hole pretty good.
