    Hey guys,

I'm looking at a 2016 GT with 20k miles. Carfax is clean and car looks great. I noticed though that some of the seams aren't perfect, primarily on the right front of the vehicle. How common is it for there to be inconsistencies with the seams of the car (fender to hood and fender to door)? Its nothing out of whack, and one wouldn't notice usually, but I was going over the car with a fine tooth comb. The car was inspected by a Ford dealer and given a clean bill of health. Just looking for some reassurance. Car drives great as I test drove it.

15-16s had alot of body panel issues. Must of been a bad batch.

Thanks. I remember reading that somewhere (probably on SVTP). I have inspected the hood, fenders, etc. It is not noticeable at all unless you are scrutinizing the car as a serious buyer. Just not quite 100% "right." I don't have concerns about the car, I just realized that it wasn't quite "perfect" and remembered hearing that on the 15-16's, even the GT350s, that there were body panel issues. Car is spectacular with some minor mods (exhaust, CAI, Eibach springs).

Yeah unfortunately somewhere quality control was highly over looked on the 15-16s. Im sure by the time they caught it so many body parts were made they couldn't just throw them away

Well, in spite of the slight imperfections, I'm going to buy it. I can live with it. :)

Id always assumed it was just sloppy work on the assembly line since theres usually some wiggle room left in the mounting hardware to account for tolerances

I drove a 2018 PP2 car a couple weeks ago. Only thing I liked better about that car was the cloth Recaros. But for almost $20k more I'll do without them. I mentioned in another thread that the cost to replace the tires on that thing will be incredible.

Congrats jpro, that's a good looking ride. That steering wheel & grill are aftermarket upgrades too.

Yep. Think I’ll add a 350R spoiler and a coyote emblem on the decklid.

Damn. Didn't realize the prices had come down to that for one of those.

I think it's a fair price, but definitely below market. I'm seeing $30k-$34k for 2016's and 2017's that are PP and Premium cars. I think that is outrageous, and they just sit on the market, getting reduced by $500 - $1000 periodically until someone comes along and gets them. This one was priced fairly and also had the "mods" I wanted (springs for lower stance, exhaust). It's black, which isn't my first choice (had a 2006 black GT) but I've fallen for it. A couple of "appearance" mods and I'll be a happy camper.
