hey guys, I am thinking about Siemens 80lb 840cc injectors. I believe they are good for 900-1000whp on gas/meth. Does anyone have experience with these? Are they ok to tune?

No personal experience with them. But ford racing used them. I've seen numerous guys making good power with them. Pretty much the only option unless you want to coin out some big money for Id's 1000+cc.

The 80lb injectors won't flow enough for that power on e85 etc though keep that in mind.

they will get close. Base pressure 55psi, not 43. Talking about a Viper =)

I dont enough about the viper fuel setup but i do know that i ran the frpp 80lb flow match and made 730hp on E85 with them on my tvs gt500. I was at 90% on the injector duty cycle with E85.

higher base pressure makes a large difference. 80s will flow more like 90s.

Good to know.
For the most part tuners dont have a problem tuning for them. But they say ID 1000 are the easiest to tune for.

yeah, crazy price difference. IDs are $1200 for set of 10. I can get 80s for about 500. Hell, maybe I'll add a BAP .

Your not lying about the price difference thats why i originally went for 80s flow match were half the price of id 1000s at the time. They did the job for me and i never had and issue with them.

I have been really happy with mine. 800ish and E85 on my old setup with room to grow if I turn up base pressure. Drove very stock like.

They are the injector of choice for my tuner.. Using them on a barely 450rwhp Cobra.. Idles like stock.. No hot start issues.. Tune isn't even complete yet.. Great Injector for the price.. Just make sure to get them from a verified Vendor.. There are FAKES of them out there!

I seen a thread about the Ford Racing 80lb. inj a while back when i was looking to purchase some, and seemed like there was a lot of negativity towards them when it came down to tuning? I was persuaded to go with the 60lb. inj cause of ease of tuning. i never did understand why the 80s would be that much harder?

I wish i would've done more research, i am considering on swapping to E85 and I am definitely going to need more injector but didn't want to drop the $$$ for the ID1000s.

I ran 80's on my big bore set up. They took a little more work to get working right, but in the end I had no issues. I think having the extra cubes did help things. I think one of the tricks I used was using the minimum pulse width timing for a 60lb injector. The only reason I got rid of them is I got a screaming deal on a set of 105's and at the time I was looking to make some big power.

Viper hell yeah they'll be fine. Wasn't aware of the viper part. You've got 10 of them that's over 800lbs of fuel delivery. Say FI is 0.6lb an hr per hp thats nearly 1350 hp capacity. You're fine with them.

yea I think I'm going with the 80s. Hard to justify $1300 for the ID1000s. almost saving $1000 LOL.

Issue with the 80s is at idle you're usually below their linear range so they're a little tricker to tune. A good tuner can do it though.

If you need I have a set I bought new from a member here and used for 1-2k before switching to IDs. Let me know they're just sitting around.
