Heading to the shop today to torture the techs.

If the winshield is in I will more than likely volunteer to install some parts. It would be nice to have my car back. I'm missing it.

Bumper was assembled today. The front end may have been put onto the car.

Hopefully the windshield will find its way to the shop tomorrow (in one piece).

I'm looking forward to having it home again. We shall see what happens.

Revvv...

Good things come to those who wait...A watched pot never boils...Confucius say “Man who go to bed with itchy bum wake up with smelly finger “.... hopefully these words of wisdom will help you get through these next few days until your sweet GT comes home.

Hang in there, Brochacho.

I will try to remember to not sniff my hands/fingers in the morning?

Apparently an OEM windshield is nearly impossible to come by. I am willing to bet @13COBRA has one in the dealership. How can a windshield for one of America's most popular cars be backordered until the middle of next month?

...and the shop has to reorder my GT fender badges. They lost my badges that were new, and in the plastic.

I'm trying to NOT get frustrated.

Why put in an OEM when there are plenty of aftermarket ones readily available at a huge price savings?

Apparently the coupe and the convertible have different part numbers. I have to assume the convertible glass is thicker as it is part of the structure. I looked it up and learned something new.

This is an insurance job, they are paying for the glass, not me.

Also, the OEM glas has the pony logo. The aftermarket winshield is blank.

Gotcha. No, I don't. A lot of Ford stores don't keep anything in stock that is more than 1 MY behind current MY.

That explains why the dealerships are in a waiting mode. I just can't believe the ETA the shop was given is so far out.

Update, the glass ETA is 11/20/2018

I don't think so. That is nuts.
