Right now I'm running a McLeod rxt. For me it's really just to much clutch. The car is very difficult to launch, and I shattered 4th gear because it's just to much. Buddy of mine shattered 3rd gear a few times (cory) same clutch.

I'm considering something different, I'd really like a single disc with enough surface area to properly disengage at high rpm... like 76-7800. Let me know what you have!

I just recently had a Spec Stage 1 installed, so far absolutely 0 issues shifting at 7500 rpm. Drives pretty much just like stock but definitely grabs good. I'd imagine the higher stage Spec products would be similar in terms of shifting at high rpms.

I had a Spec stage 2, and was still getting locked out past 7000 RPM. I have an exedy now, and hopefully will get to try again soon.

I'm running the Exedy Mach 500 stg3 w/grooved pressure plate along with a Mcleod braided clutch line and MGW race spec. My high rpm shifts are so smooth, the pedal just sinks to the ground and shifter finds the next gear perfectly. 5th gear used to be impossible to get into at WOT with the stock clutch. Now even at 7800rpm it finds 5th.

This is the kind of stuff I like to hear. I just put in pretty much the same setup as you, and I am hoping for similar results.

I have the Exedy Mach 500 Stg 3, Exedy lightened flywheel, braided clutch line, and MGW Race Spec on my Boss 302. I shift at 8000-8100. No issues at all getting into any gear. Exactly like jn2 said. Pedal goes down easy, shifter is fantastic. Plus clutch was cheap!

Very odd. I would think that, with the RXT, you would have less problems shifting at high RPM than stock. I am still on the stock clutch (crazy to me) and not having any problems shifting at 7,600 RPM.

I have the single 11" disc, no pressureplate that I bought for my project then changed and went to an RXT. I had bought a SPEC stage 3+ that's supposed to be good for 850hp, would sell it for 300, its only been out of the box, not installed, its a 26 spline

No aftermarket clutch should ever get locked out unless its screwed up or damaged. My GT clutch would hang and stick anywhere near 7200 rpm - swapped to spec stage 2+ (with the billet option and alu-flywheel option).

never a complaint, 8000 rpm, no issues what so ever, launch on slicks - with intentional slipping!! this clutch never complains. if it does? send it back for a re-build (that's why its important for SPEC if to get the billet aluminum internal pressure plate option).
