Bad MSE3 PCM question

So my car has a bad mse3 ecu (01 cobra ecu) and found a 99 cobra ecu ZMR2 would this one work as a replacement for my 01 or would it cause problems

I'm pretty sure the pin outs are the same. If you have a tune you'll need it remade to match the new ECU. The only thing I'm not 100% sure of is the PATS.
