This forum has seriously died off over the years but I'll make a post in here anyway. I picked up a 40k mile Virgin 97 Cobra in August as something fun to drive while I built the balls out of my pushrod car.. Well.. The virgin part lasted a few days.. I wasn't exactly a fan of red when I bought this car.. Until I buffed it. Holy ****.. The way Rio lights up in sunshine is like nothing I've ever seen.. And at that moment I was bitten..

Few Days after I bought it and immediately after it's first buff and wax.

So then I stole the FR500's off the white car for the time being until I found something more worthy..

Few days later came H&R Supersports, Koni Adjustables, MM CC plates, X2 Balljoints, and Steeda Bumpsteer kit..

I was like damn....

Next stop was Depo Projectors.. Modified by myself to get rid of the ugly ass Chrome..

By then I was hooked.. Car got parked and I was off to the East Coast for work for a few months.. While in NY, I stumbled across a brand new V3si Black Edition for an incredible price.. So I picked that up..

Right before I headed home I stumbled across my dream wheels in Iowa, just happened to be on my drive home... Like 10 minutes out of the way.. It was a match made in heaven...

So then I started ordering the rest of the parts to finish my blower..
Picked up some Terminator Valve Covers in Iowa as well. Took awhile to decide what color to powdercoat everything but I'm happy with my choice..

I was originally going to order another set of phantom gauges and innovate lc1-db combo.. But then i checked out innovates sight and saw their beautiful new dual wideband gauge..

So I got it and matched some Aeroforce interceptors to it.. Black lettering on white backgrounds and white letters on black backgrounds.. Going to be ****ing gorgeous!

Yea, you should just keep it and give me the pushrod car.

Funny story... The pushrod car needs a shortblock.. What I want to do will cost stupid amounts of money.. I was telling an online buddy that I wanted to get ride of it. he said the same thing about his.. ( I helped him pick out all the parts for his motor) He said he was going to ask x amount and I told him I'd give him that right now lol... So now I have THREE..

Car number 3 has a brand new forged 347. 11.4:1 Trickflow 11'rs. Custom Cam. TFSR.. New Tranny... new everything.. And a PROM standalone EFI..

56k Car. Black interior Rio Red...Will make 420 rwhp all day..

Damn, damn, damn.

That's 3 times for 3 awesome Cobras!

Love the 4V. Wish I could do all of that to mine. Need another car first.

3?? Awesome! All Cobra's too.
Now you need a yellow one, mystic, pacific green and a bright atlantic blue, a pace car 94 Cobra and the hardtop convertible 95 Cobra to complete the collection.

I was by no means looking for another.. the deal was just too good..
The 4 valve is my new baby.. it's damn near flawless. And it's my 30's build..
The white car is my 20's build. It looks great. Interior is incredible.. but it's not perfect.. and the shortblock is shot.
I haven't seen the 3rd car in person yet.. yes, it's mine.. title and all. but I haven't taken delivery as it's 2300 miles away. lol.

I'll be taken the nicest parts off of two of them, with priority going to the 97, and selling everything I can't use and returning one to stock.. Not sure which one yet...But by this time next year hopefully I'll only have one pushrod.. Whether I throw the motor from the Red 95 into the white car, or just put the white car back to stock and sell. Not sure yet.

But this 97 is going places.... There are going to be some really cool parts on the car. Molded spoiler, smoothed decklid, molded in sidescoops.

And I'm on the lookout for 10th anniversary Red/Black Seats.... I MUST have a set

White one as is? lol

Appearance wise.. Yes...

Engine wise.. No.. I can get about $7k for the heads, blower kit, injectors, maf, fuel system etc and then return it to stock. We both know these cars don't sell for alot, even with a ton of money in them.. Especially whethe rings are shot..

Even with 125# compressionin one hole and no more than 145 in any other, it still logs 593 horse!

Fit up is officially done.. All charge pipes are tacked and ready to get tig'd..
Still waiting on 4" tubing for my home made powerpipe, coolant pipes, and my slot meter flange.. haven't decided where it goes yet.. Also probably going to weld a few 4 an bungs into the cast piece for meth before I powdercoat everything..
I'm going to start putting everything back together for good now..

Here are pics of my piping. I'm extremely happy with how tight everything fits and my choice in pipe routing.. It's almost a completely straight shot from the outlet of the intercooler to the cast piece after the first 90.. My MAF is going to love that.
I still need to decide where to put the pipe for the IAC hose... I want it hidden, and eventually I'm going to run a remote IAC because I just bought another intake Hat and it's going to get smoothed and welded up :)

And here I thought when you posted on SN95Sournce that you had bought another one you were just talking about your 4V car... 3 of them, jeez.

It's hard for me to imagine you without the white car. You've had it for so long and people have known you for it for so long...

4V car is looking great, though! It's begging for the timing cover and intake tubing to be powercoated wrinkle black as well!

All the piping will be black ;) Otherwise, it'd be covered in tape and not scratched up :) May do the timing cover eventually, but there's a fine line when you have too much black... I still have a few more pieces that will be crinkle black as well.

I say keep the white one and nice work so far on the 4v! What do you think of its characteristics vs the pushrod?

Also love how you posted the thread and being almost done vs others where the thread is going on for years and the owner still isnt close to being done.

I actually prefer the stock look of the factory intake for the b head engines. the black looks badass to but I'm just a sucker for a clean factory intake for this car, looks much better than others.
