Hey guys.. So i have a questions and hopefully it's not a stupid one.. So i'm doing a 4.6 DOHC swap in my 91 Coupe and i recently bought a used AJE K-member and AJE Stock style tubular control arms. The problem i'm having is i cant get the A-arms to fit onto the k-member. I've never installed a k-member or a-arms before but i don't think its supposed to be this hard to get it to fit.. I'll post a few pics of what i'm taking about but I've tried both control arms on each side and they just wont fit. One side goes in and then the other sticks out to far to get it to fit into place. It doesn't look like the mounts are bent as i can tell from looking from one hole all the way through to the last and its straight as an arrow. So either i'm an idiot and cant figure it out or the k-member is bent or the a-arms aren't correct for the k-member (since they are AJE i would assume they should fit..) So hopefully someone can help me out with this. Thanks for looking.

Do you have a deadline hammer ? .
You will need to uses one force to get them I to place , but once there ,they will or should be fine .

Not sure what a deadline hammer is but i managed to get the arms to fit. I took a rubber mallet and tapped on the mounting ears just enough to get the arm in. Only problem no is there's a gap between the bushing and the mounting ears on both sides. I don't know if adding washers to take up the space and then tightening everything down would be acceptable or not. I don't know if it would alter the suspension geometry.

I did not proof read well enough I guess , I meant dead blow .
No need for washers , as you tighten the bolts , the mounting ears will straighten out .

^ Agreed. I've had a couple of K-members where the ears pulled in and needed to be bent back out a little bit.

Ahh deadblow makes more sense haha here i was thinking there was some new kind of hammer. and i don't know if they will straighten back out without the spacers but i'll go out and give it a shot. I just thought that these things would be built to where everything lined up. espically something as important as control arms.
