I'm putting my motor back together right now, and I just finished putting the exhaust manifold back on with new oem gaskets. My question is, the gaskets have pressed style rivets, so on the outer ports of the manifold the rivets push away from the manifold a bit is this normal, or do you guys remove the stamped style rivets on the ends of the gaskets.

Its only at the top at each end everywhere else the stamped pieces miss the manifold any help would be appreciated.

That doesn't sound right. Are you sure don't have them some form of flipped or on the wrong side? The drivers side is a two piece gasket, the passenger is a one piece.

Ya I have that all correct. There's just 2 spots on each side on the top of the manifolds. It's the first and last port. It might be perfectly fine but it doesn't look right to me as it holds the top out a bit. But maybe at the port it's fine?
