Where are the best Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales going to be? I priced out finishing my two SBR builds last night and am looking at $3k. Would like to cut that down some.

High cost items are Geissele triggers and Eotech EXPS3-2. I think Geissele will have the best deals on its own stuff. But the Eotech...where to buy from?

If you can't find a Geissele you like for sale, Ground Zero Precision has ELF-SE triggers for $135 that include a set of anit-walk pins. Not a bad deal for a great trigger.

I just took my cc class and have been meaning to get to Raleigh to submit paperwork. Can you renew online or do you have to go there? It is a hike for me.

They've streamlined the process, but to get your carry permit requires fingerprints, and even for the five year renewal you have to appear.

I read that has been corrected and is now better than a T2 and others.

Thermal drift is still an issue. I pointed out EOTech because you specifically said you wanted an EOTech. Its an issue with all HWS. Some are much worse than others.

Like I mentioned... EOTech is my favorite. I had the legacy Hybrid EXPS3-4 and it was awesome. I am running A2 sights on every AR except my 300 Blackout, which has a Venom. As soon as money is better, I'm getting a new Hybrid EXPS3-4.

Before October 2016, EOTech was +/-5 MOA as a norm, but mine had a 40 MOA drift in a 100 degree temp change. The new units are claimed to now max out at +/-3.5 MOA. Right on track with other HWS. Regardless of what HWS you use, you should use BUS sights to co-witness the HWS.

While metal does change size and shape in drastic temp changes, it's extremely subtle when it comes to weapon sights, so they are still way more accurate than the HWS. Instead of guessing if its right, its better to know you're gonna be good to at least 300 yards.

Will the HWS hold zero as temperature changes?
EOTech’s sights experience a point of impact shift away from the point of aim when the sight is exposed to a temperature different from the temperature at which the sight was zeroed. After zeroing the sight at or near ambient temperature (73°F), the zero position will shift during operating temperature changes. For sights manufactured after October 2016, the typical shift will be between approximately 1.4 and 1.8 minutes of angle (“MOA”). Due to manufacturing variations, however, a particular sight has the potential to shift a maximum of approximately 3.5 MOA at -4°F and 122°F. Sights manufactured prior to October 2016 have the potential to shift approximately +/- 5 MOA at -40°F and 122°F.

Due to thermal drift, sights may not return to zero. The sights have the potential of approximately a +/- 2 MOA zero shift upon return to ambient (73°F) after being exposed to any temperature between -40°F and 122°F.

Shifts result from natural thermal expansion or contraction that is present in various materials as they are heated or cooled, and is greater the more extreme the temperature change. For example, when a sight is zeroed at 73˚ F then acclimated to 50˚ F, less shift occurs. On the other hand, if zeroed at 73˚ F, then acclimated to 0˚ F, more shift occurs. The shift may not be significant to shooters who use their sights at close-quarters ranges. For instance, 3.5 MOA is a shift of .875 inches at 25 yards, and is 3.5 inches at 100 yards. It also is worth noting that thermal effects are evidenced to varying degrees in common optics, as well as in rifle barrels and ammunition as the environmental conditions change. In all events, to achieve optimum accuracy, the sight zero should be verified whenever the sight is exposed to marked temperature changes, and the sight should be re-zeroed as necessary.

Then this is my 300 Blackout with the Venom on it... I switched over to Troy battle sights, but still the same principle.

I just ordered the American Eagle Syntech 9mm Ammo from PSA. Anybody ever try it? Couldn't pass up the price 500 rounds for $74.99 with free shipping after rebate.
PSA is also doing Springfield 45 Auto/ACP Mags for $19.99 with free shipping 5+.
