27,000 miles on motor. 7,000 with Roush TVS @ 8psi. Car still runs great and tranny shifts just as good as ever. Clutch is starting to engage a little to "smoothly" though, if you know what I mean...lol. Can't believe the stock clutch has lasted this long.

32,000 miles. 12,000 miles with Roush tvs, 609hp(9-10psi). 6m Tranny whines now, but that's it. Currently getting shipped to Germany for some Autobahn, Nurburgring action.

I've always wondered, how does registering and using a U.S.vehicle go? Do they have strict emissions testing or are you exempt?

I bet 90%+ of the people who s/c their 5.0 fully plan on putting a built bottom end in it as soon as they can afford to. If u don't want to worry about ur stock motor, I'd leave it n/a with a safe tune from a reputable tuner.

It also depends on the owner and how the car is driven. I put 85K miles on my SC mach, zero issues and those motors weren't as stout as these 5.0s.

It seems these motors will last a while when below 650whp... but that also depends on how the motor is trated and what not. If you're concerned about it, then you probably shouldn't do it.

Also depends on how you drive it. Id wager someone who has a blown car but doesn't get into it but once in a while and doesn't race would have it last quite a lot longer than someone who goes out and races people every chance they get.

4k on a tvs @8.5 psi everything is grand so far. I agree your tune and how you drive it plays a major role.

I have 634RWHP having things like 170 thermo stat, Amsoil race series oil, colder spark plugs, 1/4 tank of Shell URT 105 per tank, AED tune will keep it around longer. Over the winter it's built block and target is 850-900 RWHP
