A friend of mine is looking at a 93 cobra with 10500 miles and he wants to know what a decent price is for the car. It has a vortec supercharger, h pipe and flowmasters, hurst shifter and 3:73 gear and all stock parts come with the car. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Kinda rough for $33k looks to have been stored in a moist environment, probably more of a 26K plus car.

It looks good to me. It just could use some detailing.

As for price... depends if your friend likes mods or not. If I were buying a 93 Cobra with that few miles, I’d want it 100% stock. If it were, I’d expect to pay about $30k since prices have been going up on these cars.

The mods were the reason I wasn’t sure what would be a good price. From what I had seen low mileage stock ones were like you said around $30k but since this one is modded and comes with stock parts I didn’t know if that still commands that price.

Like I said... it depends if your friend likes mods or not. When searching for a collector car, I personally would pay more for a virgin car over a modded car. A 93 Cobra would qualify as a collector car in my book. Unmodded, I’d pay $30k for that car. With the mods, I personally would pass, but if I had to commit to a price, I wouldn’t pay more than $25k.

When shopping for my 96 Mystic Cobra recently, I came across one with something around 1500 miles. Unfortunately it was extensively modded and the seller didn’t have all of the original parts. I passed on the car and later found a 400 mile virgin that I paid considerably more for.

I'm not sure what mods do for price but I've watched a few stock low mileage 93' Cobras sell recently.

2 sold here in Harrisburg at the Mecum auction a few weeks ago. One was my buddies car.
His Teal 93 with 11,XXX miles brought $39,000 with buyers fees and a Red 93' with 1,900 miles (this car had fading on the entire front bumper and the rear spoiler) brought $40,150 with fees.

Also a Teal 93' with 1,900 miles on it sold on ebay in July for $50,900

So the bone stock 93's are doing crazy money right now. Like I said though, just not sure how much mods affect value

Those are impressive numbers. I have been surprised at the appreciation in prices for nice 93s. I bought mine in 2014 and they have gone up considerably since I got mine. The Teal examples seem to command the most, which I totally dig!

I also can't believe the numbers the fox body Cobra's are bringing. Obviously the strength of the economy has a lot to do with that. I see these cars dropping in value one more time when the economy goes through its next big dip and then climbing in value until their next peak.

If you look at the 03' Cobra as an example right now they aren't anywhere close in value to the 93'. Now they only built 4993 of the 93's and for one year only. The 2003' and 2004' Cobra's saw 19,140 built. But the 93's were around $20k new where the 03/04 was more around mid $30ks new. So it will be interesting to see what an 03' Cobra is worth in another 10 years. My 03' is slightly modded but nothing more than sub frame connectors that can't be removed. I've kept all of the stock parts. It's also been kept in a climate controlled garage it's entire life so it looks brand new. That car also has 15k miles on it.
