I am looking to buy a set of drag radials for my 1999 turbo cobra. Car has never been run yet but should be north of 1000hp. WHat do you all recommend for drag radials? I am looking to drive the car on the street quite a bit so hoosiers are out of the question even tho I have heard they work great. Leaning towards M&H 325/50 right now... Going on a set of Billet Specialties double beadlock 15x10 wheels with 6.5 BS.

Other car details:

Stroked 4.6 with twin 62 bb turbos
4L80E
Solid axle swap from 9 GT
E85
Supporting mods
All tubular suspension
3600ish lbs

Thanks in advance for any input!

I have M&H 325/45 R17 and I love them! Best drag radials I've used.

Them look great! Quite the slick beadlock setup you had made up too? Who makes them out of curiosity? What kind of 60' times have you seen on the 325's?

any way to post a pick from the back, want to see how they fit in the well

Here's some misc. pics. I'd like to point out that I'm running a SRA in my car. I have no idea how the 325's fit on an IRS car. But if your SRA they fit perfect on a 10.5" wheel as well as a 12" wheel. The pics without bead locks were just off the shelf 10.5" wheels from American muscle. I widened them 3/4" and bead locked them as well for a total width of 12". I love how they turned out and work amazing considering it's a 17" drag radial.

M&Hs hands down the best drag radial I have ever used. Way better then the MTs

My M&H's have even lasted way longer than the Mickey's and they actually seem much softer than the Mickey. I think they are amazing tires. I drive on them full time, making 950 wheel right now on e85 and traction is pretty damn good. I get caught in the rain all the damn time here in Florida and it's not even crazy. I made a 5 hour trip on them and it poured the whole way! I drove with caution but never once felt on the edge like I have with the Mickey Thompson drag radials or a slick. When these wear out I'll be putting the same exact tires back on the car. I think the 325 fits our body style really well.

Also if you decide to call M&H on the phone they are great people! Answered every question I had, they are all about supporting guys like us!!

Looks great, looks like 325's it is! Ill post pics once mounted and set up!

Thanks man. Let me know if you want pics of anything. Your build is really close to what I have.

Here's a short vid going from a roll in second gear, 950rwhp. Keep in mind I've got the 17" 325's, the 15" 325 is going to be even better. But I really like these 17's, allowed me to run 13" rear brakes. Car stops awesome and drives really nice on the 17's.

They are such a great tire. I never hooked well on the MT DRs street or track. They were good only when brand new. After about 100-200 miles. They sucked so bad. The M&Hs were great until the day I had to replace them. I ran the 18" version on Saleen wheels. 325/40-18s On my 9 sec pump gas tune they hooked awesome on the street, way better than any other DR I ran on the street and used them all!. Here is a quick roll video.

That's a sick car man! I love the stance it has, looks perfect. Are those narrowed wheels up front? Those M&H's fit your car really nice too. You still run them? I really do think it's the perfect size tire for these cars. I was running 18" rears but I aborted them because the Mickey's sucked so bad, it would spin through 1st, 2nd, and some more in 3rd! And when mine got old they were even worse too! I went to 17" just to get a little more side wall, I knew it would still clear my brakes and the ride quality is really nice, super smooth. If I would have started with 18" M&H's I may still be running 18's. They are actually 28" tall, the Mickey is like 27.4" or something like that. So the M&H tire has some more side wall, wider than the 305 too. I prefer the 28" height anyways.

Thanks. I actually sold the car a few years ago. The wheels are not narrowed up front. They were 18x10s in the back and 18x9 in the front. The GOpro made the wheels look funny up front. However the front tires were slightly too narrow and not much sidewall. I was not running the correct size. I think it was like a 265/30 they looked weird up front. It needed a bigger tire up front.

The 18" M&Hs were great. The 28" tire makes all the difference when running big power on these cars. I first tried a 28" tall Nitto Drag radial. Absolutely useless.

I have always had good luck with the m&h 325/45/17. However, recently I am having a ton of trouble finding a tire that will hook 2nd on the street. I still run the 325's but a good hit in 2nd send them spinning all over the place. They are on their last few miles however, Might be time for a new pair.

Any of you guys with high power, 6 speed, sra cars have good luck with these? I am leaning towards running a 325/50/15 full time to help with traction. My car is a little nose heavy considering there is no tail pipes, no rear seats, battery is still up front, factory iron block is back in, etc.
