Looking for a new axle so im thinking about going to a 3:15 i had 331s
Any thoughts on this? My car is procharged mt82 and has 305/35r20 drag radials on it. Probably making 600-650whp.

why are you wanting to go 3.15? not going to gain anything from that. unless your turbo, and even then.....

with your 28.4" tire and spinning to 7500 your able to do 145ish in 4th. switching to 3.15 is going to put you about 152...

why are you wanting to switch... there is no reason unless your planning on doing a th400 later. and even then, 3.31 is a great gear for that (it's what im running)

EDIT: Just read your other post about blowing up the rear end, sucks, but you mentioned you have a procharger... if your change to the 3.15 that means longer time for you to not be in your power band... if anything i'd recommend you going to 3.55, possibly 3.73's (you said daily and this would make it way more fun as the gears would be a bit closer together and keep you in your power band more.

If i were you'd i'd try it with the 4.10's and see how it drives. you may even really enjoy it.

Its all back together 4:10s are fun for sure but im sure if i had my 3.31s it would gap it.

Driving at 2500rpm on the highway with the procharger blows. Im going back to 3:31s for sure. Its way too much gear for when i put my snowtires on.

Im still dumbfounded that of all the things the rear end broke. Guess ill have a complete rear axle with 4:10s and a truetrac for sale.

The only reason that i would switch from 3.31s to 3.15s is because im on the limiter at the end of the track in 4th. I run 3.31s, 28x10.5 slick, and its on the limiter at 7600rpm with a 147mph trap.
