Mustang GT 15-17 6R80 changeable with other 6R80 transmission

Hello,

I would like to ask that do other 6R80 can be fitted on the Mustang GT15-17?
Recently my 6R80 was damaged and was expecting to get a used 6R80 and undergo upgrades.
But it’s seem there is alot different model which is
1)2.3ecoboost
2)F-150
3)3.7 V6 Mustang
4)11-14 Mustang GT?

I wouldn’t try it. Another 15-17 GT 6r80 would drop right in no changes needed. 6r80s from other engines will have different converters, bellhousings and shift strategies.

I was trying to looking for the exact transmission for my car. But there is no used mustang part here especially GT model. FYI, I’m from asia region. But the F150 model is easily found here.

The 6R80 had a engraved Number on top of the transmission which is NO.81

F150 trans needs a shifter cable adapter but bolts in fine. Not sure about other engine bellhousing patterns. Whatever you chose you have to program the valve body to the car.
