I was installing an HP Performance twin 57mm kit that I bought used. Turbos were not as advertised so I sent them out and had them rebuilt and balanced. I kept running into suspension clearance problems since I have a Maximum Motorsports K member. So I may have made a late night decision after a few glasses of whiskey. I ordered twin 61mm from the awesome guys at Nelson racing engines, and ordered a new stainless hotside from CG Fabrication. These guys seem great as well. I start pulling off the old HP stuff tomorrow and still a few weeks off from getting my set up from CG Fab. Hope to have it running by summer!

You buy NRE gen 1 or gen 2 turbskies?

Either way they'll pump a lot of air for ya!

CGFAB has been great to work with, he is making an adjustment on the passenger side headed to clear the belt. Different years have different belt arrangements with different front covers

That's gonna be a killer combo. What's your shortblock set-up? Any work done to your heads?

It’s an MMR se1000, 290inch, and ported trickflow heads from MMR, bullet cams from modular headshop, turbo grind that’s fairly mild but they called a stage2. Longblock should hold 1000whp in theory. NRE made 1400hp on their 5.4 4v for shelby, I would like to see 1k but would be happy with anything over 800. I have a magnum 6spd,RXT and 31spline axles that hopefully hold up to non prepped surfaces

So NRE now has 61mm mirror image turbos? Nice
The last time I looked they only had the mirror image turbos in 72mm and 88mm.

Looking forward to seeing this when finished.

I am not sure what NRE rates them at. There is no A/R cast into them so there isn’t much info about them
