Hey guys,

So I'm looking at a new set of wheels because I'm sick of having the same look as every other mustang on the road. I'm trying to think outside the box and I found a really nice set of dished wheels. The problem is, the size is different from the normal wheels every one seems to be running. Anyways, the wheels would be 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 with a +15 offset. The wheels are also available in a +22 or +25 offset. The offset is what's actually throwing me off. Would this be something I can run without issues. I'm also lowered 2 inches on eibach sportlines.

Thanks in advance....

Not sure what the offset was on your factory wheels, but the 03 Cobras came with 17x9 with a +26 offset. I have a set of Forgestar F-14's for my 03 that I had made 19x11 +26 and 19x9.5 +26. Fits with no issues.

Gotcha! Yeah I was noticing that a lot of the wheels that people normally run have a 23-26 offset. Should I run with the +22 they offer? I want the wheels with the biggest dish, which I'm guessing would be the +15's but like I said, I'd def go a different direction if I'm going to run into fitment issues.

Check out willtheyfit.com Their calculator will tell you how much poke you get with lower ET´s compared to what you´re running now. I don´t think you will have a problem with +22 ET but better be safe than sorry :)

Some stats below regarding wheel sizes, ET´s and models

1994-1998 Mustang, Mustang GT & Cobra 15-18" 5"x114.3mm 1/2"-20
70.3 35-50mm (H) 22 inches

1999-2004 Mustang, Mustang GT & Cobra 15-17" 5"x114.3mm 1/2"-20
70.3 35-50mm (H) 22 inches

2005-2009 Mustang & Mustang GT 16-18" 5"x114.3mm 1/2"-20
70.3 35-50mm (H) 22 inches

2010-2014 Mustang & Mustang GT 17-19" 5"x114.3mm 1/2"-20
70.3 35-50mm (H) 22 inches

2015-2016 Mustang (Ecoboost to Performance Pack) 17-20" 5"x114.3mm 1/2"-20 70.3 35-52.5mm (H) 22 inches

I suspect that you would run into clearance issues with the +15. I think your factory wheel offset is a +24 from what I found. The Ford Racing 2000 Cobra R wheels had a +22 offset in 18x9.5. I have heard that on your body style that they stick out to far in the front. I would say go with the +25's in front and +22's in the rear. If you are running the Saleen wheels now that I see in the photo I think they are +22 rear +24 front. Tire size will also come in to play with clearance. As it is said always measure twice and cut once.

Thanks for the help. I checked out that site. It says that from my current setup, the new wheels would poke out slightly more. I was under the impression that with a +15 offset, the inside of the wheel would be pushed in further. I guess I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around the whole offset thing.
