I've exhausted all efforts searching past threads on this, so I hope there's someone out there who can help.

I'm looking to buy either 03 Cobra 17x9 (275/40 all around) or staggered 17x9 (275/40) & 17x10.5 (315/35) for my 01. My goal is to fill up the wheel wells, so my first choice is the staggered setup, but I'm not sure if the tires would rub the inside of the outer fender since the H&R Sports are softer than the Race springs. Is there anyone that has had a staggered setup with H&R Sports with MM Isolators and Bilstein HDs? If so, was this an issue?

I'm leaning towards the Nitto NT555 315/35/17, so I know that I'll have to install the MM low profile bolt along with a spacer, but I really don't want to have to roll my rear fenders if possible.

Below is a picture of how the car currently sets with the stock 17x8s (245/45) with a 1" hubcentric spacer in the rear. It looks good from the side, but from the back, the spacers make it look like I'm running two spares on the rear, which is why I'm wanting the 315s so bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A lot is going to depend on the wheel. I ran 315 Nitto 555R's on 17x10.5 FR500's with cut 03 springs. They would rub the fender on big dips. When I got my 04 it had H&R springs with 10.5" Cobra reps and 315 Sumitomo tires. That set up didn't run. But when I switched to the same FR500 combo I had on my 01 it rubbed again. I rolled the fender on both and never had an issue again.

Nittos tend to run a little narrower than some other tires, so I doubt u need worry. If you want something that will look super fat, hook, and drive decent in the rain I recommend looking into the Toyo R888. Awesome tire!

Mine had 17x10.5 with toyo's and it never rubbed, never rolled the fenders, didn't have spacers or low profile IRS bolts either. car was on H&R SS as well at that point with no iso's

Here's my 99 Cobra. 17x9 front w/ 275 and 17x10.5 rear 315 Mickey Thompsons. Front Bilstein Coilover (lowered about 2 inches) rear H&R race with only lower isolator. No running in back with only minor rubbing in front on larger bumps. I'm probably going to roll the front fenders or maybe raise up the front a touch.

Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you to everyone for the insight on this which helped me make a decision. I ended up buying a staggered set of 03 Cobra wheels from LMR (17x9 and 17x10.5), with Nitto 555 G2 275/40 and 315/35.

Just to make sure they cleared the IRS bolt I purchased the MM low profile bolt along with a 1/4" spacer. After all of that worrying, it turns out that I didn't need the bolt or the spacer, but am glad I bought them since they now set almost flush with the rear fender without rubbing!

Up front, I removed the MM isos and went back with stock so the front would sit a little lower. Now that I have rear H&R Race springs sitting in my garage, I may install them and add Steeda X2s up front...

Here are some pictures of it with the new setup:

Before I changed swapped ou the front MM ISOs with stock:

I went with 17x9 and 17x10.5 03 terminator repro wheels. Also installed the low profile blots because the mickey Thompson street comp tires were really close to the factory bolts. Love the look.
