Well they came in today. From first look I have nothing negative to say about them. They're new and shiny! They are side specific and the right side is slightly thicker than the left side. I'm hoping to have some time this week to swap them out but not sure yet.

As I said before I did not purchase in a hope to cure wheel hop. I do not have wheel hop with my current setup at all. I have broken two axles in 2016 due to 3200 RPM clutch dumps. I currently have a broken passenger side axle which led me to look for a replacement. These Gforce's sport a lifetime warranty so I plan on putting that to the test. This year i plan on doing the necessary grinding and strapping on a pair of 15" slicks to help prevent breakage.

Mine came in a couple weeks ago. Going on the car now along with T56 magnum:)
Tell them you are on SVTP and saw the group buy thread. They will cut you a little bit of a deal.

What's the reason for the 6 hundredth of a difference in thickness on the one side?

Looks good, update with fitment info once you get them installed. Dont break these too fast, try to get a few minutes of seat time first lol.

patiently (not so patiently) waiting for results on the clutch dumps! How much power are you making, and is that on a 2 step? I'm still debating doing these over the SRA but need to see real world results in the 1.3x range at full weight.

3200RPM clutch dumps on a MT ET drag radial in 305/35/18's is what broke both of my halfshafts. With a real slick i doubt it would have happened.

The first half shaft was a learning breakage. The second halfshaft (This last one) was me launching off a newly installed two step set to 3200RPM and i released my foot versus slipping the clutch. Poor driving on my part.

I plan to run a set of 15" slicks for drag racing this year starting with 3000 rpm clutch dumps slowly raising rpm until its launching good without bogging down.

Well I just finished installing viking DA's , H&R race springs and the new Gforce halfshafts.

Here are the weight of all three shafts. Note that i did not weight the Gforce's with the exciter rings

Install went smoothly. The halfshaft splines to hub are new and can be a tough fit. You need to take a wire brush and alcohol to clean out the hubs splines then blow them out. I did not do this on the first one and it was a pain in the a$$ to get the shaft into the hub. The second one was easy as pie.

After installation i looked over everything and found that the outer CV joint is very close to the emergency brake line lop on the lower control arm. Its actually 39 thousandths of an inch away! (.039000") You could grind it down to give it more clearance but not sure if it is actually needed.

Its hard to see but thats one .020 & .019 shim

I know my scale is not industrial grade but should be close enough to give you an idea. I know it has to be off since it has the left thinner shaft weighing less.

Which vikings did you go with and did they require any modification? Plug and play? I'm considering a set myself. Halfshafts look nice.

I would pay attention to that clearance, check it after driving and then launching for any rubbing. Not exactly sure how much these can oscillate under torque but thats close, what was the stock clearance???

I went with the highly recommended Viking Double adjustable B225's. Install was straight forward and did not require any modifications whatsoever.

I really wish I would have paid attention to the stock clearance but i hav enever noticed it. The Gforce axles cv joint does appear to be larger in diameter. I emailed Casey at Gforce to see if they have noticed this minimum clearance.

On another note.... i'm trying to figure out if my rear differential clutch packs are shot.....

So a Gforce tech replied to my email within about 1.5 hours on a Sunday! They said it has not been an issue and that it clears but is close! We will see....
