Hi guys:
Just figured I’d check in. I swiped s guard rail on the 805 a few weeks back trying to avoid someone merging into me. I had ordered a set of custom CF5s in 18x11 as track wheels but they were still a few weeks out at the time and I really didn’t want to use them on the street anyway. So I ordered some wheels and tires from American Muscle at a fair price I think. Anyway- Here are my new 18x10 GT500 style wheels in black with 275/40 NT01s at all four corners. The square setup has really improved the car’s handling and while I haven’t had it to the drag strip (I still have my Nitto Drag Radials) these things are hooking pretty good at stoplight to stoplight street launches! (Not that I’d ever do that). It’s funny we’ll spend so much money chasing horsepower when a good square tire set-up with nice rubber is worth more in terms of lap time saved on a road course than 100hp on our cars!
I still have lots more to do. I need to either sell or install my Watts link, finally gut my interior, install my Corbeau seats, put in my beautiful new teal cage, put in my Barton shifter and install my JBA CATLESS X-Pipe which will mean having to put mufflers on the thing and going back to the dyno.
$100,000 $15,000 car here we come!!!

Very nice. Appears the GT500 is turning you into a Capitalism-loving, tire shredding, light to light, red blooded American once and for all.

They look great. 18" wheels are very hard to come by, as most vendors have jumped on the 20" Donk wagon.
