I just read through all 103 pages of this thread and just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed. It really helps others a ton!

I was hoping someone could clear something up for me though. Im wanting to get 18" wheels for my 2013 5.0 and i've been thinking this whole time that i had to shy away from these 20-40 offsets, but mcfarlands car above looks amazing.

Can anyone tell me what is an ideal offset for 18" wheels on our cars? Thank you!

Kinda depends on the width, but something around 9-9.5" wide should fit great with an offset in the 32-45mm range.
I am using 2010 GT500 convertible 18x9.5 wheels on my '13 GT now, with 285/40/18 tires front and rear. The wheels have a 45mm offset and that's the highest offset I'd want in a 9.5"-wide wheel, as it's getting a bit close to the strut on the inside. I actually wish they were 32-35mm offset, to push out the tire/wheel a bit for a more flush look.
Also, I've used 19x10 front wheels with a 48mm offset, great fitment also, with a 275/40/19 tire.
One other thing, if your car has the Brembo front brakes, you need to consider that when you're searching for wheels, since the calipers are much larger, you'll need the clearance.

My car right now:

Soo these puppies showed up today...

UPDATE: Got everything installed. Pretty happy with the outcome, ET35 is pretty aggressive but *almost* doesn't rub. Only kissed the rear quarter on the left side when entering a crooked off camber driveway, no big deal otherwise. Might need to center up my panhard bar as well. Wheels ended up being about 1lb lighter per corner compared to the stock 18"s.

- Wheels: MST MT01 18x9.5 ET35
73.1 center bore (used 73.1 > 70.5 hubcentric rings.)
- Tires: Radar DIMAX R8 Plus 275/40ZR-18
- Suspension: MM CC plates, Koni Yellows, American Muscle Springs, BMR Adj. PHB, Whiteline adjustable LCA's.

Car is filthy as hell but I couldn't wait to get the wheels on.
