First time mustang owner. Just picked up this 01 cobra. 20k miles. bone stock.

Found my 01 at a Ford dealership outside of Chicago back in July, so I did what anyone looking for a stockish, low mileage Cobra in MG would do and flew up from Memphis and drove it back!

Very nice Chauncey, I tell my wife all the time there is nothing in the memphis area car wise and that you will have to travel to get something good.

Getting setup for the track...almost ready. Waiting on the six point cage, a little front chassis work and rear wheels/tires.

Do you know the exact backspacing and offset of those rear wheels? Looking to buy some deep 15x10s like that but I have a shorter 94-98 solid axle now.

6.5" back spacing I still have cobra brakes so I had a lot of grinding and a 5/16 spacer

So that's with a 5/16 spacer and IRS... I should be right on the money with a 5.5 backspacing then. Still running my factory cobra brakes on the SN axle too. I may have to do a little grinding.

Ohhh. SWEET! I assumed it was still IRS because of the exhaust bend. But that's even better to know you got the same one. Should be PERFECT for a 5.5bs and no spacer. I'll post pics up when I get mine. They're on their way.

These should look good and do just fine for this season.

Thanks man , love the cowl hood on yours. I eventually want to do an 03/04 hood but that'll come when I wanna go with a blower

Thanks! It's a VIS carbon fiber cowl that was beyond saving so I refinished it. Definitely helps The Vortech cool down.

5.50 Backspace on an SN95 length axle in a new edge = Perfect. With 275s it's gonna look mean.

My 99 cobra. Tonight my rear end starting making horrible popping noises when I turn corners and sometimes when accelerating in 1st. If anyone can help with any ideas let me know ! Please
