Question about vehicle# and vin plate on the air intake

The numbers are very faded on my production# plate. I have to be at a very specific angle to see the vin or production#.

Are they all like that? If not, has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have a guess as to why mine is like that?

Mine was very easy to read and not like that at all.

Previous owner probably used some kind of engine degreaser that caused it to fade.
