Looking to upgrade my speakers and I was wondering what size and brand people are using and how they sound.

Haven't done any upgrades to my audio yet but I know it's hard to go wrong with JL Audio. I've been out of the car audio world for about 5-10 years but those were always my go to and I believe they still have a good name today. Alpine is another good brand as well

Let me put a damper on this whole idea. You can't simply swap out speakers and expect better sound.
The reason has been discussed several times in the past. The stock speakers have some an odd impedance to them, one that is not matched by anything in the market (that I can tell). So in order to swap out the speakers - you would have to also swap out the Amps too.
