After purchasing my brother's 2004 Mustang GT from him a few months ago, I grew pretty tired or the torn up leather seats that had seen 180k miles of seat time. This led me to look at getting them reupholstered or upgrading to Cobra or Mach seats.

While I am not usually a fan of racing seats in New Edges ( I like comfortable leather seats ), I did like the way the new SVE S3 seats looked and felt. The suede inserts are basically the same as 03-04 Cobra seats and the bolsters hug you into place more than factory seats. This car won't see much track time anytime soon but will be comfortable if I ever take it road racing. The only downside about the seats is the forward recline. Due to the aggressive bolsters, you will need to recline the seat a little forward and move the seat forward as well to access the rear seats. I am going with a rear seat delete so I never use it anyways.

Weight savings was pretty good considering I did not have to sacrifice much and weight savings was not the goal. The driver's side power rack is the big factor here. These S3 seats come with manual racks thus saving some easy weight.

I hadn't seen these seats before. They look great. Whats the comfort like compared to stock seats?

They are stiffer (cloth and suede compared to leather) but not super uncomfortable like some cheap racing seats. They are made by TMI and I enjoy driving it around town. I don't drive the car really long distances so I can't attest to a road trip, but i feel like I am actually sitting in a seat not a couple of leather cushions.

Just ordered these for my Mach 1. Seems like crazy value for the money. Hopefully I'm right!

Also, made in the USA makes them an even more attractive purchase.

Nicest looking seats I've seen in a looong time, I wish I can afford them.

Thanks for posting.

I'm moving to Spain (military orders) in December, this will be a thing I get for my car before I have it shipped over for sure. And I have mint charcoal leather seats.

I've also done the TMI re-upholster before on stock seats on my last car with their foams and new skins (prior to these being out) and this is a far FAR better option IMO. Granted the re-upholster did come out great on my 98 but this would have saved a whole weekend and a lot of effort.
