The only one thing I have to complain about the car is the silver piece on the steering wheel.

The woman and I got the se sedan, not the nicer st model such as this but same steering wheel.

But ours has 18,000 miles on it and was bought brand new with 70 miles. Its already starting to peel on the edges which im quite annoyed by.

But besides that I have no complaints. Im actually really impressed by the standard sedan and handles like a small go cart on rails; so I can only imagine what the nicer and more powerful ST feels like.

Im debating test driving one and picking one up as my DD. Im more of a truck guy, but for a nice daily driver that gets great gas mileage without sacrificing alot; you can't go wrong.

I'm a truck guy too, but I'm now a huge ST fan. You should warranty that steering wheel.

I just saw a black one at ford, and instantly fell in love!! With a few FRPP mods this car would be sick. An AWD option would be nice tho, when pulling up next to a sube or an Evo..

Great review, I would like to have one as a daily driver....

Price and mods?

The sticker is at the bottom of the article. It was around $28k.

Great review! I'm loving mine and couldn't be happier! Although I do wish I got the HID's but here in Texas, heated seats are unnecessary! Hopefully I can find a pair somewhere for cheap.

Thanks:beer:

Ive always been a RWD guy myself and would never consider owning a lowly Focus. Until I drove an ST. My ST3 is waiting for me when I go home in March.

Nice.:D

I was disappointed in Ford when it replaced the escort with the focus. The 3rd gen 2-door was about to get love from Roush and SVT but these were axed in favor of the focus. The first gen focus was heavy and hard to look at (SVT versions were a little easier on the eyes and their performance didn't hurt either). What they did to the car in 08 was even worse, except a real 2-door version was back. I don't think I am old enough for a 4-door yet. Now looking at this shot here and reading all the improvements made with this version, Ford has finally redeemed itself to me :)

I know what you mean about the 4-door. I'd really like to get the 2-door hatch the Europeans enjoy, especially in RS form.

The ST is a great looking car and I'm sure it performs well but i couldn't justify spending 30k on one when i can get a slightly used Subaru WRX STI for the same price. In fact i don't think there that much more brand new and if you could work in some incentives you maybe able to get the prices of the 2 cars new pretty close. Ford really would have won me over if the ST had around 300 HP and TQ as well as an advanced AWD system similar to the WRX STI. The Focus ST is like a neon srt-4 imo, it's direct competitor will be the new dodge dart srt-4. If the ST was priced more like a neon or dart ford would be on the right page, 25k out the door is the absolute max they should charge for it imo.
