T56 Identification numbers

Hi guys,

Does anyone know where on the transmission casing the numbers are stamped to find out which version of the the T56 is installed in my car? Apparently mine has a magnum installed in it but I would like to know for sure.

Are you mainly wanting to know if you have a regular T-56 or Magnum T-56?

They are not actually stamped into the case, but there is an identification tag that should be on one of the tailshaft housing bolts

Yes I was wondering if it is a regular t-56 or a magnum t-56. Previous owner apparently said he had the magnum box fitted when the original box went bad.

I'll have a look for the ID tag attached to the bolts. But short of stripping the box down are there any other tell tale signs if the ID tag is missing?
