T56 swap what am I missing ,is it that easy? Driveshaft question

So I have a 2004 Mustang gt tr3650 car I am swapping in a 1290 tr56 this T 56 comes with the 31 spline output shaft . So everybody says you have to cut your stock GT drive shaft down 1 inch? And the stock shaft is 45 1/2 inches "wright"? Well isn't the 99 -2002 cobra drive shaft 44-1/2 in? If so why isn't anybody doing this? What am I missing?

The reason it doesn't fit is your trying to put svt parts that are special into an average gt car lol

Believe it or not I had found a killer deal on a true svt car for this member (force-fed04) locally in our area at a killer price and he wouldn't budge lol

Yes allegedly did try to get me to purchase his old Svt which was in fact a contour SVT. Allegend123 ,also has some opinions on people that drive Mustangs .. of course pre-me talking him into getting one. Keep in mind I'm only 20 minutes up the road from you. And this is how I deal with naturally aspirated cobras...lol.
