Our house is right in a flight path for the airfield in Martinsburg. A few years ago I was taking a piss and looking out the bathroom window, and there were 2 Osprey's coming west, then slowly turned north and headed back that way. That was cool. A C17 came over a couple weeks ago very low, I was in the garage at the time and it scared the shit out of me.

I saw another Osprey last week, I was working a job in Rosslyn and one came across the Potomac

If you zoom on the last pic. It looks like the guy is ready to bailout. Rear was opening.

B1-B Lancer. Would love to see that thing take off and land. I gotta make it out to an air show one day, Houston has a really good one at Ellington.

The A-10s out of Fort Wayne have come over our house a few times, and occasionally follow I69 between Fort Wayne and Indianapolis.

Several WWII era planes (B-17/24) have gone around my parents property giving tours from the local airport in DeKalb County.

You got a 50/50 shot of making it to your destination in an Osprey

My buddy has been an Fae/gunner in them for the last 4-5 years. Loves it. Been in AF for 16 years now and I think he is purposely not making E-7 because he likes flying so much!

Those things are incredibly dangerous. I used to see them in Florida flying around the coast near Panama city when I vacationed there. That and f22s and a10s

There were about 4 separate occasions I was supposed to take and fast rope out of of an Osprey, all of which were cancelled or switched to 52s thankfully. The crash in Hawaii about 2 years back where two Marines died were all guys in my former platoon. My buddy actually bailed out the back at about 50ft up and busted his face and broke his arm but lived. I loved jumping out of helos but never regret not doing it out of an Osprey.

Now we are talking, I've always loved the B-17's. I put together a rather detailed model of one when I was a kid.
