Finished up my color matching valve covers and plug plates. Nobody made a plate for the 96-98 plug covers so I had one made and powder coated to match the valve cover coat. I also had custom graphics cut to match the 99-04 one piece coil covers. Didn't turn out too badly if I say so myself.

Well I finished it up tonight, must clean and tidy a bit more, little disappointed that the Accel wires weren't exact length as Fords but I think I can tidy it up enough to match.

Washed it on Wednesday for the first time in about 10 months. Not too bad really for a 20-year-old car with original paint.

Yesterday afternoon I spent about two hours adjusting the coil-overs down further now that I don't have a low hanging exhaust needing ground clearance. I have no idea how much I really lowered the ride height as I didn't bother taking a before measurement. I just kept going until I was happy with how it looked. You can tell it was quite a bit though by comparing it to the above photo.

What coilovers are you running?

You'll get different costs with different brands but like Maximum Motorsports setup for example, you're probably looking at about $1,500 - $1,750 all in if you purchase everything new. You can expect about $900 for the coil-overs themselves with springs and probably around $650 - $750 for the shocks and struts. Obviously it'll be cheaper if you find any of the components on the used market or already have any that you're able to use.

Like you'd expect, the ride quality is all dependent on the shocks and struts and spring rates you choose. My car isn't really that harsh. It rides better than when I had H&R SuperSports on the car.
