I really cannot decide which supercharger to purchase paxton, vortex, or procharger. I'm currently running a 150 shot with good success but want something thats there all the time. I will mainly just be using it for street purposes and DD. I know with these types of blowers you need a stall with an auto. Questions are how much will one of these set ups cost if I install it myself. Dyno tune is 550, it looks like the kit is 5200. Is there anything else I need to budget in?
What kind of 1/4 times are yall seeing on stock internals with an 6r80?
What kind of dyno numbers are safe with a 6r80.
Which supercharger is the loudest? Or are they obnoxiously loud?

I'm definitely leaning that way. Expecially for the nice intercooler and where it's located

What year 5.0? We are the centri specialists.. Our shop car runs mid 8s with a centri.. I really love the paxton for the price and procharger for the sound and install. Both are relatively easy installs, though. Message me and we'll get you sorted.

I love my buddies 6R car with the TVS.
Do the centris like the stock converter like the TVS does?

really depends on the tire you have and if you are talking street/strip. From a dig on street tires you are going to blow the tires off at the track with a tvs, however, off idle with my procharger I was able to go WOT and dead hook while trapping 124 so its not lacking power. However if you plan to track the car alot and have slicks/skinnies a TVS blower really doesn't need an aftermarket stall to get out of the hole well. Biggest difference is the price and a bit more complex installation process. I installed my procharger by myself in a day in my garage, if I had gone TVS I would've had someone else do it more than likely.

I'm still waiting for mine to come in that I ordered at Xmas but I went with the Paxton 2200. I got the ID1050's Polished, HD clamps, Thermostat, Plugs, and remote tune , JLT , and BOV. It was $6800. The install on the Procharger seemed pretty easy. I just wasn't sure which head to go with, D-1 this P-1 that F1a, etc. The Paxton seemed tried and trued on the Coyote and had the potential to make big hp in the future.

Though the longer I wait more I consider returning it for a JPC single. But that's me and I tended to be flaky.

I prefer centris especially on manual cars. But a buddy of mine has a vmp with the 6r80 2014 5.0 and man does that thing pull. Its like the tq never ends as it blasts through the gears. It feels like the auto tames and utilizes the tq of top mount blowers and the power band never falls..

I’ll just leave this as my TVS 6R advice, stock converter too.

I would not choose either of your options OP. I would go TVS, or whipple. With the auto they love the roots or twin screw blowers. A stall helps but isnt needed as much as they are on the centri blowers. Plus the instant TQ is so much more fun.

I really enjoy the P1sc on my S550. Cant go wrong with any of them but certainly not a fan of the Procharger inlet location on the S197 if thats what you have.
