I know there are a ton of threads on the different auto transmissions to swap in to the terminator. Can someone run down the differences between the choices? Which I assume are 4r70w, th400, glide, c4? I mostly see the th400 or 4r70w swaps. Taking in to account cost, ease of swap and durability. Right now my car has a 2.2 KB on it but I want a trans built to hold 900hp or so for when I upgrade power adder/motor.

My car started out with a 2.2kb/4r70 combo, it was a very fun car with that setup. I had it pullied for a little shy of 20lbs on a 93 torco mix, very fun street car!

What kindof times with a auto and kb are people seeing?
For your goals I'd go for a built 4R especially if it's street driven. The TH400 while very stout has no overdrive. Glide has only two gears and will be recommended only for very high stalled lightweight cars. I wouldn't bother looking at a C4.
