^ do you post on sherdog?

No I do not

Nice! What are you upgrading from? I guess i'll wait for a strix or some OC release. I have text alerts from nowinstock but they're gone in 5 mins.

Do tell what you think about it tho, i have a regular 1080 and nothing wrong with it but TI is just an impulse buy for when they finally make a 4k 1ms 144+ hz monitor.

Upgrading from a 1080, moving my 1080 to my media server / VR computer (currently 6700k + 1060). I am getting ready to upgrade my Acer 144hz Gsync panel to an ultrawide 3440x1440 Gsync and the 1080 isn't quite powerful enough to push 75+ frames at that resolution, not unless I turn everything to medium or low settings.

Does anybody know if there is currently a 27", 1440P, IPS, HDR, 144+ Hz monitor out? Doesn't matter if quantum dot.

Asus and Acer announced their new monitors in jan. I'm not away of any current monitor with HDR. I have the asus rog and its nice enough for now, doubt i'll want to spend 1200+ on a new monitor tho.

4k, 1ms 144+hz ips, second quarter of 2017, no release date as of it.

I'm torn between a 4K or 21:9 for my next monitor. I want the high resolution, but from what I've read, the added peripheral with the ultra-wide can be invaluable when gaming.

27" at 1440p seems almost too small for everything, to me anyway. I had a 1080p 27" monitor but went a year without a computer so nothing relatively close to compare this current monitor to. I honestly don't feel the rog is worth the cash but might feel differently with a side by side comparison.

I see people running 720p same game and of course doesn't look as good but I think it might give you an advantage in online fps, I've never tried running games at a lesser resolution and don't plan to. Just my personal opinion I would go with any 27' 1ms 144+hz monitor, they're pretty cheap until the 4k's are released.

AMDs attempt to become relevant has kind of slowed down the release of intel and nvidia etc's new stuff.

Playing at a lesser resolution than your native resolution is highly inadvisable. It looks like complete crap when forced to full-screen and it's even harder to focus on the game when you're playing in a 720p window on a 1080p (or greater) monitor.

Personally, I think we're in a time where a 27" 1440p is damn near perfect, assuming you have the hardware to match. If I was a true baller I'd have a 27" 2560x1440 144Hz 1ms monitor and a GTX 1080/1080Ti.

I actually think we're past 27" now with 1440p and 4k soon. I'd like 30 something inch screen lol.

I guess since I went so long without a pc I dont have anything to compare what I have to what I did. So 1440p 144hz 1ms, and the 1080 is basically all I know, well I did upgrade from a 980 to the 1080, I still run everything on low and still plan on buying a asus strix 1080ti, whenever they start producing more then 1 a day.

Sorry for the double post, but I've done a lot of work to my setup and the Fredde desk in particular and would like to show it off and garner feedback on what could be improved upon.

Note: I have a cable grommet on the way to protect the keyboard and mouse wires from the hole I drilled in the desk, and my tarantula isn't going anywhere.

Love it, love it, love it! Awesome job man!

Also, what was needed to achieve 5.1GHz @ 1.296V?! That is crazy!

Wow, I know what my next cpu is going to be, that 7700k looks sick.

I got stuck with a iffy 4770k, water cooled but it could not hold a good overclock. Wasn't stable after a few hundred MHZ.

While this is true, a lot of people, myself included, do this in games like CS:GO to get every bit of advantage lol because I take a much lower resolution than native (1440P) and force it to stretch out to full screen on my 27 inch monitor because it stretches out the enemy player models and more importantly, the hitboxes also stretch out.

Anything that makes the head a larger target, is a good thing.

I've been play CS since early 2000 (1.3) and play CS:S and play on high settings, but ive seen the pros play at a lower setting. Even on a smaller monitor too.

GS98COBRA, what size monitor is that?

Well, for those of us with aiming "deficiencies" stretching the screen makes it a little bit easier :p
