Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give you a heads up and some possible background on this intake.

I was approached last Tuesday by a member on this forum advising me that he had 2 of these manifolds for sale at $1800 each, or if I purchased both, I could have them for $1700 each plus paypal fees, one was to be shipped, the other I was to pick up at Road Atlanta this weekend (Dec 4-5). I got a phone call yesterday 11/28 that the manifolds had been sold, and that my paypal payment would be refunded, at the same time, I received an email from Scott Minch, who has a couple of selling accounts on ebay under the names of Northwoodgt and SteveAustin offering one of these intakes for $5000.

Scott has a prototype engine with one of these on it, and I was thinking about buying the complete engine back in June of this year, but just did not have the room for it, at that time I offered Scott $5000 for the manifold alone to be used for a Vortech install on my car as the intake throat is shorter and might clear the blower, but he turned me down and indicated that he only had the one complete manifold plus some lowers

I replied to Scott indicated that the party on this site could possibly obtain 2 more and asked if he would wait until this Saturday b4 posting it, I sent him a snipit of the email I received from the original seller with photos to show that I was not making it up.

Well low and behold, no reply from Scott and the manifold has been listed on Ebay for $5500 plus shipping.

Plus the odd thing is that I have been blocked form bidding on it with a 100% good feedback rating...

Scott, we have done alot of business in the past, Are you pissed that I may have been able to purchase one or 2 of these at a 3rd of what you are selling your's for?

I really don't care about the price if it comes to that, as I have more money than I know what to do with, but, I did not make it by throwing away $3200 if I can get a better deal elsewhere, I am ready to buy it if you want to sell, if not, would appreciate it if you don't play games, everyone knows your stuff is priced high to begin with, but it is a free market and you can charge what you wish, you just won't be real popular down the road when things get hard and you really need to sell

My point here is this:

1) If you offer something for sale and take money for the item, please be sure you have it in your possession b4 offering it. (I wish I could borrow $1751 for a week interest free)

2) Have a little integrity when buying and selling, there are enough people in this world trying to pull something and make a buck, not that I am saying tha Scott has done anything wrong, and this is a free market society, but at least try not overcharge fellow svt'ers

well I thought this would be for interesting reading, and I will get off my soap box now....

I think he lost something in the translation in the word integrity. if he said he'd pay $5,000.00 for it orignally then why didn't he buy when it was offered to him? instead wants the seller to wait becuase he might buy one cheaper somewhere else? I would say the ebay block was justified and the only game player was Bill Anderson. sounds like the seller's patience ran out, with good cause. And of course we won't get into the reputation of Dan Schoeneck. seems like he always likes to bash people on this site. Shall we talk about carbon fiber KR hoods and splitters? and this manifold was priced too high???

Also I didn't say the price was to high Scott, Just sayn you=:nonono: What about kr hoods and splitters Scott? Should we talk about all the 6.2's you sold those guys that you werent supposed to and ford took them all back? That was a pretty big mess for those guys

Hello Scott,

Did you not tell me that you would not separate the intake from the engine back in June? You offered the complete prototype motor to me for $10k, I said I would get back to you (which I did), the price was not an issue, but room in my shop was, as I had just purchased a totaled cobra r and was in the middle of taking it apart.

Please get your facts straight, you never agreed to sell just the manifold, I offered you 5k for it back in June and you turned it down...also, you advised that you did not have any other manifolds in your possession, however, when you contacted me yesterday regarding this one, you spoke as if you had it for awhile when in fact you just got it!


You tell so many stories, no one can believe you.

Just an fyi, I found out today that you were the person that received this manifold after I had already paid for it! I paid $1751 early last Tuesday morning to the fellow that was to sell it for the guy you got it from.

Personally, why the hell would anyone pay so much money for a fricken manifold? With the price of the 00R's so weak, a person that want to sell might do better parting a car out.
