Definitely fake, but who cares? It's a great idea and it's exciting. I love that BMW does these types of commercials where there is no script or anyone speaking. Just letting the car do the talking... Reminds me of their e39 M5 commercial from South Africa with the jet car.

Exactly. The performance of the car, regardless of this commercial, speaks for itself. The numbers this car produces is certainly not fake... And that E39 M5 commercial was a classic. ;-)
