Realllllllllyyy..dude how hard is it to drive and auto??:shrug:..so you are saying we should only use the times the pro drivers run or the good drivers..my bad,,guess my car runs 11.1 bone stock cause someone did it..That is the stupidest thing i ever heard,,go back to the SRT8 boards and tech all them guys how to drive,,maybe then they can get them out of the mid 13s..:beer:

Since when is a 2.0x 60ft a "pro" or good time?

Plenty of amateur misconceptions about technique and prep.

Driver's race. 2011 GTs have trapped 112-115mph and the new 392 should be capable of the same.

Ive been watching a 392 challenger with cold air intake and catback, on drag radials running 12.1x's at 114 in 2900 DA. Every weekend. He cracked out one 12.09 i think in fall with some bogarts and seats out youll see a otherwise bone stock motor and drive line 392 into the 11's.

Heck guys, if you go to challengertalk and listen to some of those guys. They will tell you that the 392 challenger will beat shelby gt 500's. There is a post in the 6.4 liter section of the challenger srt8 there now. This dude claims he hasn't seen a stock gt 500 beat a 392 yet at the track. And the fastest he has seen a stock gt 500 is 12.3 in the 1/4 mile. Some people are just too damn brand loyal and are blinded by that. But, i believe a 5.0 and 392 would be very close.

I already corrected it. Every new srt8 model has a 6.4 hemi in it. The 6.1 line has been done being made for over a year now and is all done. Every new 2012 srt 8 challenger, 300c, charger, jeep will be equipt with a 470 Hp 6.4 ltr motor. The 1492 is the limited edition first batch, limited colorway inagural edition challengers. First to get a 392 but, theyre all getting it. Theres also a blower option for later 2012/2013 models
Bringing it to 570 HP factory.

adding an aftermarket blower as an option is not factory. its aftermarket just like a frpp blower for the 5.0, which is 625hp.

CAI and catback is not stock. im sure his tires are stock also.



so a Bogarts, drag radialed, catback/cai challenger is running 12's. WOW!!!!!! a boss runs 11's with just dr's.


as 5.0 ran 12.3 with just DR's in the summer. the 392 is really fast man.


392 fanboi's are sounding more insane all the time.

no boss302's, no 2011 GT500's. none.

It will be a factory option available for the SRT line, not dealer installed like FRPP. Not 100% confirmed, but it's looking that way.

I said in better da with bogarts you'll see some 11's. Theres a guy with a cai, catback and 26" dr's whos been doing 12.1x's at 114/115 in 2900 Da. Where did i say thats stock? I said its an unopend motor and i think with just drag radials in better DA youll see 11's for sure. I dont even think, i know it will happen. I also have stated multiple times its a close drivers race with the 5.0 get it together dude, damn.

Thats the first track vids at infineon i think early this year. Thats 100% stock on factory tires also.

otherwise bone stock? sounds like you are the idiot trying to insinuate that the car is anything approaching " bone stock".


well JPC's 804rwhp 2011GT is otherwise bonestock. except for the bolt-ons, blower, tune and racing gas. yeah buddy its "OTHERWISE BONE STOCK"

my point is clear.

a 392 is a decent car. it is decently fast. it is not suprisingly fast, or blindingly fast, or the fastest out there. its decent. it has a lot of weight over the rear tires and it helps mid range acceleration. it doesnt MPH really high for 470hp. it is what it is.


a 470hp car that weighs 4200lbs. it performs exactly like a 470hp/4200lb car will perform. if its slightly faster than another car in an experts hands, it should be for the price and power and cubic inches it has.


it will not: beat a gt500,boss302,ZL1, C5Z,C6Z, ZR1,etc.

it might beat a SS or mustang GT. i hope it does. my GT cost 32900.



the reaction of mopar guys to having a 392 is suprising to me. mustang fanbois can finally compete with LS motors on motor, but LX guys have had a hemi the outperforms LS motors in power for some time.

its like crazy the way MOPAR boy are acting over an average GT car.

it is: the nicest looking of the three GT cars. it is the most powerful of the three GT cars, it rides the best, looks the best. it costs the most. it also get the worst gas mileage.

I guess for it's motor and cost, ranking 3rd? out of the 4 seaters, it is.
