Does Tousley Ford have the best price for this? ~$279 seems to be the best price I have found.

And I have purchased the Fel-Pro gasket already. I was planning to use this gasket with either grey RTV or Hylomar blue racing sealant. Thoughts?

Just a heads up, the previous listed ARP bolts are too short. The bolts that come with the FRPP cover are 1.5" long not 1.25.

it does look like these will be a tad short.

can anyone confirm that the 1.25" will be sufficient
OR
should i look to get the 1.5" ones (ARP 612-1500)

Just installed my FR Diff Cover.

What a nice solid piece.

The only thing I saw that I didn't care for was the routing of the sealant groove. The OEM cover has a groove that goes around the 2 recessed dowel pin holes in the diff case. The holes are about 1/2" diameter and are there to mount a spreader tool. Anyway the new FR Diff Cover just routes the bead grove right over these holes instead of around it.

doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the sealing groove?

The LPW cover I just installed had no groove. FWIW.

I did notice that my stock cover had the groove. It did not seem to stop it from leaking !!!

FTBR kit will also be done, just maybe not at the same time

I'd just hold off then and run your brace for now. That way you only have to drop the IRS once.

I also rebuilt my trak lok clutches while it was apart. Those are about $100 from Tousley.

a bearing in the diff is shot so it will need to come down and be rebuilt so its coming out no matter what. just not sure if i wanna drop the whole irs.

I see. The IRS comes out easily. It's only held in with 4 bolts.

I dropped it because it's just easier. More room to work on it.

I just wanted to make everyone aware of the fact that if they plan on using the new Ford Racing rear diff cover AND our FT 1401 Delrin isolated rear diff lowering mount, you will run into some interference issues with the inner toe link mounts on the subframe.

We will have a solution to this dilema shortly. We plan on selling a milled Ford Racing cover that will clear the inner toe link mounting brackets so everything will simply bolt in place with no issues. We are currently waiting for tooling to mill the covers at this time.

Stay tuned.
