There were 2 officers, plenty to take control of the situation. Even through aggressive force with both officers to take control, a punch is not necessary. Cop let his temper get the best of him and it wasn't a good thing...

or maybe the department. the LASD has been in pretty hot water recently with deputies in the jails (where they start their careers). its been all over the news about deputies beating inmates, visitors of inmates, smuggling in drugs/cell phones/etc, cronyism, deputy on deputy violence... and so on.

and just this week as well, a deputy busted for smuggling heroin into an LA jail :nonono:

the FBI is already investigating the LASD for various civil rights violations complaints. i wouldnt be surprised if they end up "taking it over" for awhile to straighten their shit out.
