Our early Delrin isolated rear diff lowering mounts that we sold in 2010 and early 2011 would not fit the New ford Racing cover that did not exist at that time.
I think the Ford Racing cover came out about mid 2011.

N/Angel said earlier that the FT5000 kit was ordered. That kit doesn't come with the lowering mount. It comes with a FT1300. I believe she just misquoted the part number for the mount.
My FT1300 fit but it kicked the front of the carrier towards the passenger side of the car. I had to loosen the bolts, pry the nose of the carrier to center and then retighten the bolts while still keeping pressure on it. If I remember correct it was about an inch off center. I too have an unmilled Ford Racing cover.
Everything else fit like a glove.
In a rush this morning my reply may have been a bit hasty.
N/Angel specifically asked about the FT 1400. That part number was the Delrin isolated rear diff lowering mount before we milled it to fit the New Ford Racing cover. Then when the configuration changed to allow it to fit the Ford Racing cover the number was changed to FT 1401.
You are correct the FT 5000 kit does not include the Delrin isolated rear diff lowering mount. That kit contains the FT 1300 Delrin rear diff support bushing set that installs into the OEM rear diff support bracket after you remove the rubber bushing.
Hope that clarifies it a little.
I just filled mine through the fill hole until fluid reached the bottom of the hole. Same as any other rear I've ever worked on.
God no that is way too much. That is over a half gallon of fluid. 2.5 pints is more like it.
I put 2 quarts in mine with a bottle of friction moddifier and it sprays out the vent tube when I drive anyone dealing with the same issue?
You're overfilled. Level the car and pull out the fill plug and drain the excess fluid. Replace plug when fluid stops coming out.

I leveled the car out earlier today and let the rest drip out till it was barely dripping then I took it for a spin and it did the same thing I am wondering if it just has to much fluid in it still I am thinking about draining all of it to see how much is still left then go from there
Is the little "question mark" shaped rubber hose on the breather fitting?
yeah the rubber hose is on the breather fitting.
Same exact thing here. The stupid instructions that come with the cover are wrong or Ford put the hole to high. I posted about it a couple pages back.
I ended up leveling the car out and let it seep out the middle hole until it wouldn't drain anymore. Then I took the drain plug and loosened it without removing it and held it in place. I let 1/2 a cup (4oz) of fluid come out the drain hole and then I tightened it back up. It's been perfect sense.
Yeah and its getting old quick wiping the gear lube off the back of the car. The smell is definitely not the greatest either.
Soak it down with a good heavy concentration of Simple Green and then pressure wash off.

I just read through this thread. I would like to summarize some key points. Please correct me if I am wrong.
*You will need 1.5 quarts to fill. (Directions are either misleading or fill holes are to far up on cover. So if you follow instructions you will over fill.)
*If you use Lubelocker you do not need sealant. But you can seal by using just sealant. Seems like lubelocker is easy to use as it's not as messy and some posts suggest it will not leak.
*It will work fully with FTBR kit except if you get FT1401 then you will need a milled cover sold by FTBR or mill it yourself.
*Use blue locktite on all bolts
*Bolts that come with cover are good to go. No need to upgrade.
*This part is definitely an upgrade to your rear end. Furthur bracing no longer needed as they won't fit anyways.
Again, I don't think I listed everything but touched on key points. Please add if I missed anything. Thanks.
