Base price of the 2012 ST. I think it's a smart move to put about 10k between the ST and Stang GT. wow...new ST or used 2011 GT???

2011 GT? No.

I'm a Mustang fan, but no.

Without question no.

New ST in a heartbeat.

This is coming from someone who is a huge car nut and who used to work at a Ford stealership.

ST or gtfo, imo.

$25k for a compact car is crazy. That's around $450 a month to be riding around in a focus, and it doesn't make it any better because they add some suspension upgrades and an st to the name.

$25K? That's not what the sticker will be on a loaded ST. I just priced one out with the most expensive equipment package plus other options many will want and the sticker jumped to $30,725! That's pretty steep. No denying it's a nice performance car.

There's plenty of folks out there that are shelling out $500-600/month on STi's and Evo's. Ford is trying to get into that market as well. And for the longest time there was talk of not bringing the RS over to the US because it was so hard to justify $35k or so on a 4 banger. It's going to happen though, even with Ford kicking and screaming. The market is there.

^ i agree, a similarly equipped evo or sti is going to cost 30k+ easily. Once the RS comes here i hope Ford will price it so that the evo/sti crowd will have a new contender to deal with. 300+hp turbocharged AWD focus? YES PLEASE!

they can add as many t/c options to the ST as possible but the car really needs AWD to be competitive.
i would take one just not with that crappy orange color, WTF were they thinking with that. i really dont like any of the new "loud" colors that they have started to come out with but i guess everyone has their own taste.

Sure wish there was an SVT Focus.
This essentially IS an SVT Focus

What does the 202 package get you?
not sure exactly yet, the only info we have is what he posted for prices.

the focus RS is on its way;-)
where are you getting this? its not

the average 2012 focus buyer spends 25k and makes over 100k a year because it is such a good car. and 25k isnt bad for a "compact car" thats loaded

When are they available?
production starts in septeber, we can submit retail orders today with verification

Evo's and STi's are so over priced, as is this Focus ST.
to each his own, everyone will think something else is overpriced

what are you guys complaining about...its got a frickin ecoboost, tuned suspension, big brembo brakes, sweet recaro seats, ya'll are just hating cuz it lacks four cylinders.

The focus ST is a pretty sweet little car, especially the interior. For $25k you can also get a brand new Mazdaspeed3. Not sure exactly how the two compare but with a few bolt ons and a tune, my Speed3 hurt a lot of feelings.
